Dance of Planets - Saturn

Created with MicroStation this clip presents the path of planet Saturn as it appears from the Earth. For comparison, the path of planet Jupiter is also included. The signature retrograde motion of the planets is pointed out and explained. Comparing the two paths and the pace at which they get traced, confirms that Jupiter’s orbital motion is much faster - about 2.5 times so, owing to its orbital period being just 12 years, compared to Saturn’s regal 30 years! :-) Enjoy the Dance of Planets! Luckily this is not Tango! :-)
