The tunes selected for this tribute come primarily from his 1959 album “Birth of a Band“ cut for the Mercury label. Quincy came to prominence in the 1950s as a jazz arranger and conductor, before moving on to work in pop music and film and TV scores. His career spans over 60 years in the entertainment industry with a record 80 Grammy Award nominations, 28 Grammys, and a Grammy Legend Award.
