Using a UV laser pointer, some glow-in-the-dark paper, and a ’daisywheel’ printed onto transparency, you can make a light-writer thingy. The text starts fading as soon as it’s written, making it ideal for ephemeral information - the time, or perhaps a Twitter or RSS headlines display..?
