Life on 2 wheels Part 14. – R1 goes Extreme

While I travel through both of the Congo’s I struggle through the mud on their ‘Highway 1’, buy fuel out of bottles, change brake pads on the roadside, see the effects of a civil war, pitch my tent in the port from the capital Brazzaville, cross the Congo River, spend the night in the yard of the police force and fly back to Kinshasa with an elderly Antonov 24PB to pick up a bike part after I break down with the R1. ‘Life on 2 Wheels’ shows you my 2001 – 2006 ‘Around the World Travel’ on a Yamaha YZF R1. During 5 years and 5 month we covered 250,000 kilometres (155,000 miles) through 75 countries. You can check out the previous 13 parts on the ‘Life on 2 Wheels’ playlist
