Jaco Pastorius (Jaco’s First Demos) - Opus Pocus (1974) at “Criteria Studio“
Opus Pocus (Jaco Pastorius) (1974)
The Early Years Recording Track 12 of 15
- Jocko and steel drum virtuoso Othello Molineaux met at the Lions Share in ’73. Jocko never considered the steel pans a progressive instrument until he heard Othello’s group, which also featured vituoso pan player Sir Cederik Lucious. Initially titled “Where’s One?“, Jocko wrote Opus Pocus specifically for the pans and it would appear on his solo debut two years later.
