China space lab: What are the missions of Tiangong-2?

Tiangong-2 will verify key technology for China’s future space station. Astronauts will be able to stay in space for a longer time aboard Tiangong-2 than Tiangong-1, China’s first prototype space lab. The Shenzhou-11 spacecraft, to carry two astronauts, will blast off in mid-October to dock with Tiangong-2. The two astronauts are expected to live in the space lab for up to 30 days.
