Béla Bartók - Tempo di ciaccona e Fuga (Sonata for solo violin) - solo guitar

This guitar version is inspired by arrangements of Tilman Hoppstock for guitar and Gyorgy Sándor for piano. I had the privilege to work with Pablo Márquez on the arrangement of the Fugue when I studied with him in Strasbourg. Márquez’s ideas gave me freedom to search for a unique approach of the Fugue, using the guitar´s own resources. The arrangement of Tempo di ciaccona was made for my master’s degree, which focused on the process of transcribing these two movements for guitar. The arrangement for piano of Sándor and the guidance of Rubens Russomanno Ricciardi were essential to the conclusion of this movement.
