In this video we are going to run through a boxing style analysis of Rocky Marciano, a style that was elegantly simple and brutally effective. There are 4 areas that I cover in Marciano’s style analysis: 1. Footwork - Marciano was flat-footed and his stance was narrow, everything I can’t teach to an amateur boxer. On the other hand he inched forward and kept the opponent under constant pressure, not a second to relax. 2. Defense - Marciano’s waist-bend defence took him off the centre line and made it really difficult for opponents to catch him clean (it also provided a great platform for Rocky to launch counter attacks) 3.
