El Árbol del Tule, Oaxaca, México

El Árbol del Tule es un árbol ubicado en los terrenos de la iglesia en el centro de la ciudad de Santa María del Tule, en el estado mexicano de Oaxaca, aproximadamente a 9 km al este de la ciudad de Oaxacan en el camino a Mitla. Es un ciprés de Montezuma (Taxodium mucronatum), o ahuehuete (que significa “viejo hombre del agua“ en náhuatl). Tiene el tronco más fuerte de cualquier árbol en el mundo. El Árbol del Tule (Spanish for The Tree of Tule) is a tree located in the church grounds in the town center of Santa María del Tule in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, approximately 9 km (6 mi) east of the city of Oaxaca on the road to Mitla. It is a Montezuma cypress (Taxodium mucronatum), or ahuehuete (meaning “old man of the water“ in Nahuatl). It has the stoutest trunk of any tree in the world.
