Charlie Kirk murder: 58 Dems vote against House resolution honoring Turning Point founder

The House passed a resolution honoring the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk with 58 Democrats voting against it. Congressman Mike Kennedy, a Republican representing Utah co-wrote that resolution. He joined LiveNOW’s Josh Breslow to talk about the conservative political activist. MORE INFORMATION: The measure got bipartisan support in a 310-58 vote, with both Democrats and Republicans having quickly risen to condemn political violence in the wake of Kirk’s assassination. The vote divided Democrats, however, with 95 lawmakers voting to adopt the resolution, 58 voting against it and 22 not voting at all. 38 Democrats also voted “present“ on the resolution. The top three House Democrats – Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) Whip Katherine Clark (D-MA), and Caucus Chairman Pete Aguilar (D-CA) – all voted in favor of the measure.
