Secret Service protects Joe Biden as car slams into presidential motorcade

US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were unharmed after a car collided with an SUV attached to the president’s security motorcade on Sunday night, local time. A silver sedan with Delaware plates struck the motorcade SUV while Biden was interacting with reporters. The incident occurred as they left Biden’s campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware. The President was exiting the headquarters after a meal with his re-election team, as the collision took place around 8:07 pm. Secret service agents swiftly escorted Biden to safety after the impact. Security officers surrounded the damaged sedan, and agents aimed weapons at the driver, who raised his hands. The Bidens safely returned home following the incident.
