University of Bristol and FABW

Dr John Day at the University of Bristol will be leading the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for Landmine Detection project. This project aims to develop a new Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) capable of surveying potentially mined areas and mapping the location of buried landmines and Explosive Remnants of War. The technology developed by Dr Day has already been successful to measure radiation levels at nuclear sites where it would be unsafe for people to enter, and this project will extend this technology for use
