Breaking News: Tensions have erupted in Mangalore University over Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. The acting Vice Chancellor, Jairaj has written a letter to the Secretary of the Higher Education Department saying that he is being forced to permit Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in the Mangalore University campus, with funds allocated by the University. He further revealed that a BJP MLA and former syndicate member are demanding that celebrations must be allowed with allocated funds and threatening protest if otherwise.
